Claude Roosens Chair in Diplomatic History (in place since the academic year 2019-2020 within the Master in Political Science, International Relations, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution).

The official inauguration of the Chair took place on 15 October 2019 with a lecture by H. E. Staffan de Mistura, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Syria (2014-2018), on the topic: Negotiating at the Heart of the Syrian Conflict. Stocktaking and forward-looking.

The Claude Roosens Chair aims to introduce students to diplomatic history, its practice and its tools. It should allow the student to master certain contents of the history of contemporary international relations. It also allows the student to conduct in-depth historical research on a specific issue. Each year, the seminar is dedicated to a specific topic.
